How we rank
Everything on extracted.coffee is assembled from live data, ranked by fit and buyer ratings — never by what anyone pays us. Here is exactly how.
Data source
Live product, price and availability data from the Shopify Global Catalog, filtered to merchants that ship to the US. Prices are in US dollars before sales tax — state and local sales tax, where due, is added at the retailer’s checkout — and exclude shipping. Every result shows when it was checked — the timestamp is real, not decoration.
Ranking rules
US pages are ranked by buyer rating weighted by review count — a 4.7★ from 200 buyers beats a lone 5★, and nothing appears on a “best” list without at least 10 reviews averaging 4.0★. We don’t verify seller location in the US yet, so no domestic-first boost is applied — or claimed. Commission never affects ranking: the ranking logic has no access to commercial terms, by construction. If we ever add sponsored placements they will be visibly labelled and never mixed into organic results.
What we exclude
Listings for 220–240V or EU-plug appliances are excluded from US pages — they don’t run safely on US 120V mains, however good the price. Bundles and multi-piece sets are excluded too, and colour/finish variants collapse into one slot per product, so a popular listing can’t crowd a page.
