How we rank
Everything on extracted.coffee is assembled from live data, ranked by fit and buyer ratings — never by what anyone pays us. Here is exactly how.
Data source
Live product, price and availability data from the Shopify Global Catalog, filtered to merchants that ship to the UK. Prices include VAT and exclude shipping. Every result shows when it was checked — the timestamp is real, not decoration.
Ranking rules
Setups are ranked by fit to your stated constraints first, then by buyer rating weighted by review count — a 4.7★ from 200 buyers beats a lone 5★. When the top two setups are within 10% on price, the one with a real track record (10+ reviews) takes the top slot over an unreviewed listing. Commission never affects ranking: the pairing logic has no access to commercial terms, by construction. If we ever add sponsored placements they will be visibly labelled and never mixed into organic results.
Per-cup assumptions
Running cost assumes an 18g double-shot dose of £24/kg specialty beans — roughly 43p per cup. Café payback compares against a £3.20 flat white, 20 coffees a month.
